This ancient practice of sitting over a bowl of gently steaming organic herbs to cleanse your yoni (vagina) can have a transformative effect on your self-care.

It has been known to support painful, irregular and emotionally traumatic bleeds and may help regulate my flow, reduce growths - such as fibroids and cysts - and detoxify the womb from physical and emotional trauma.

Add about a cup of your chosen herbs to a basin of hot water.

Let the herbs steep for at least a minute.

Remove your clothes from the waist down.

Stand or squat directly over the basin. Some people prefer to place the basin in the toilet and then sit on the toilet.

Do a quick temperature check - if you feel the heat immediately consider adding some water to avoid scalding.

Wrap a towel around your waist and legs to prevent the steam from escaping.

Sit back and relax for between 10 and 30 minutes!

You can steam anytime during your cycle - though I advise avoiding during your bleed, or the first 10 days after ovulation if trying for a baby. Post bleed is perfect!​
